When visiting a family who lived far out in the countryside in a Ger I started to joik during the dinner. The Mongols were very surprised and called for the elders who also started to sing songs that sounded like joik. We all bonded in the joik.
Joik can bring people from different parts of the world together.

I have been joiking in Ireland ...in Chile ...in Falkland Islands ...in Croatia and in Russia. Every place, people start gathering around me, and they start "joiking" together with me.
