Brevet forteller litt fra dans i Bosnia nå nylig. Landet og dets befolkning står som et åpent sår etter forferdelige krigshandlinger for få år siden. Det er første gang der har vært arrangert dans i Bosnia og å lese fra hva som har skjedd mennesker i mellom berører meg dypt.
Denne dansen går over 3 dager og hva som skjer i disse er alltid enormt sterkt, åpnende og kjærlighetsfult. Dansen kommer til Norge i år i september. Hvis noen skulle kjenne seg kallet/dradd mot dette, ta gjerne kontakt for videre info, det står også litt i brevet udner. Eller hvis det er flere her inne så skriver jeg gjerne mer om dansen.
Dearest Friends and Family,
We're sending you a quick update on the recent happening here in Bosnia. We've already emailed these brief comments to a few friends...and realized that perhaps a number of you would want to see them too... We (John and Jeanne) each struggle for words sometimes to adequately describe an experience. But having just done the "For the One" Dance here in the Balkans, we'll give it a go... (Afterwards there are a couple of important announcements at the end of this note that we hope you'll read.)
The dance here in Bosnia was one of the most amazing we have ever been a part of. People who had not been able to even look at each other since the war, not knowing how to be with each other as some had tortured or killed members of another's family, or arrested them and put them into concentration camps, etc... yet here they were living in the same community(This is true all over Bosnia)... these precious, and in many ways broken, people came together in the unique experience of this sacred dance. They came to dance or to serve or to come to the feast as many people of the surrounding villages did...There were many tears and so much laughter and sharing. Remembering that this is the land where the three armies came together in brutal battle in the 1990's, a comment made by one of the men was that there had never been such a positive energy on this land ...It drew the people like a magnet. And already people are making plans for the dance next year...It has been a miracle in the making. No one could have predicted what has happened here, other than to say that we came with the intention of bringing joy back into the land, allowing Spirit to fill the people with the memory that all there really is is Love. There is so much to share and even this small bit will hopefully give you a taste of what is in store here. The overall beauty is that the three factions who fought so terribly - Muslim, Croatian and Serbian ... cooked together, shared together, came up with plans to find needed supplies together ... and so much more. There was so much laughter ... so much joy ... and through it all, so many of the lost souls locked into the land after being killed from the horrible events that occurred here, found their way home. Many witnessed this.
It was interesting that the one of the leaders of a team who searches for and clears out the mines in the area was our lead cook (a Muslim)... that the man who gave his land for the dance is Serbian ... that the man who donated so much equipment for the dance is Croatian ...

How is the money used? In the case of the Bosnian Dance, it bought food to feed the people, it helped in getting needed equipment and services, it helped in transporting several of the trained personnel, and so on. It is always used in a good way and in a way that plants seeds of Love.
Whatever you give will keep the circle of life moving in a profound and beautiful way...and will bless you a thousand times over. This is a fact.
2) One more quick item. The book, "Journey for the One," our biography written by Monty Joynes is ready for publication ( This is a private project, not part of the FTOO ). If you would like to be an Underwriter please let us know as soon as possible. The suggestion of 150 people giving $110 USD (or the equivalent of), in turn will receive ten autographed copies of the book which will retail at $18.95. This is a great idea and is succeeding, as many of you have already invested in this project. If we can reach the $8800 within the next 30 days the first run can be published and you, who are Underwriters, will receive the initial copies hopefully in August. **In case you don't know or remember, Monty (nominated for a Pulitzer) spent two years interviewing people and integrating himself into the dance experience and communities. He has done an amazing job and our hope is that the story he tells will touch and inspire the hearts of people around the world.
