It looks like we have a lot of New-Age believers on the zone.
Peace and love to all who believe in the New-Age faith.

Solum,og.
By the way; today a lot of socalled indigenous people are quite a lot inspired and involved in Western New Age.
They have a message. And make good money.
Meet new people who wants to be inspired.
In short; its positive.
And New Agers of course are interested in oldtype healing, shamanism, prophesies, animism etc.Wants to find back to the things that were totally suppressed or laughed away in our civilized and rationalized world.
Is it so bad to admit this fact?
How can a western shaman living outside a intact, indigenous tradition find inspiration without New Age at all?
Is it possible?
New Age is a boiling cauldron of many things today.
Some are far out(IMO)
Others closer to traditional animisn, religion etc.
For me New Age took its form mostly in the sixties, and I think it was a positive thing at that time.A good balancing factor.
Today New Age has found back to more of the western inspiration(and from other places too),and thats exiting.
Why this urge to be so pure of its inspiration?
Like a hungry wolf following a blood-dripping track, westerners turned to the East when they most needed it,to learn how to deal with the side effects of western industrialization.

Im just intersted to know what new-age has to do with shamanism, since this is a zone for shamanism.
Peace and love.
GjenopprettetMedlem
Well, that depends on the one who answer you.
Maybe you should ask the crystal skulls..
GjenopprettetMedlem
I have asked the spirits FT, and they are communicating that shamanism is not new-age and new-age is not shamanism.
Peace and love.

The spirits closest to me are laughing and nodding, and saying that it`s ok, not to reply to you on this subject.
What type of shamanism in Norway today is totally pure of New Age then??
And how can shamanism be even purer?
What
is New Age representing for you, with your own words?
What I do not like with New Age(the business),is that you apparently need a lot of money to have a
certain progress and growt.

In other words both reincarnation and karma is a way for people to accept their lives without any questions. They are both very good tools for the leaders in a country to defend the cast system, like we had in Europe many years ago.
Peace and love.

Hi FT, I believe I have defined New-Age already. Its a "Lappskaus" of all religions and faiths.
Peace and love
GjenopprettetMedlem
And so what?
Where is the pure shamanism then?
Even if this sone spring out of a norwegian ,sami tradition,it is also influenced by the "lapskaus",isnt it?
if you read more threads inside here, you can find a lot of earlier discussions of mixing traditions etc.

Hi FT,
I have noticed that many on the zone is on the "Lappskaus" path and as I have stated before each shaman is unique.
Why not start taking about UFOs and Aliens or star treck and we will realy get back to healing and soul travelling.
Peace and love to you FT.

UFO`s and small green men are not things a modern shaman should take too easy...
Everything must be seen in a deeper context.

Here is a quite good article about alien abduction and other "snack" seen from a different corner.

I guess I have to live with the fact that Sjamansonen is not Sjamansonen but a new-age forum.
Peace and love.
GjenopprettetMedlem
You sound very dissappointed?
Have you studied Michael Harner and core shamanism?
GjenopprettetMedlem
You must be telepathic, I just borrowed it from the library.
Peace and love.
GjenopprettetMedlem
Well,he is a basic inspiration for this site combined with traditional, saami shamanism as a heritage.
