I have tried to understand what the people in this zone mean with the word Oneness.

The oneness I feel is the oneness with God and the universe, not with each individual soul on planet earth.

Can somebody help me out in interpreting this Oneness everybody is talking about?

Enhet er et ord som skaper dualitet fordi det står i motsetning til annerledeshet og flerhet. Men begrepet kan likevel brukes for å sette ord på en tankeløs og noen ganger transcendent opplevelse av å være ett med alt. Men når man vender tilbake fra denne oceaniske følelsen fremstår verden igjen som splittet og oppdelt, i forskjellige mennesker og egoer som ofte er på kollisjonskurs. Likevel husker man denne erfaringen utenfor tid og rom, og kaller den Oneness, I guess. Det er i alle fall slik jeg ser det, men andre kan sikkert oppleve det annerledes...

So if I understand this Oneness concept correctly so is it the oneness one feel when one soul travel in the spirit world.

Please correct me if Im wrong.

In my humble opinion trenger ikke en slik enhet-erfaring innebære noe så transcendentalt som reiser til åndeverden. Bare det å være tankeløst tilstede her og nå på landejorda kan gi en opplevelse av at alt er ett. Men med en gang man begynner å tenke og bruker ord vil denne enheten opphøre, noe mitt forrige innlegg var ment å illustrere.

Mange i alternativbevegelsen gjør dessverre den feil å blande inn enhetsperspektivet i debatter for å vinne en diskusjon gjennom å henvise til at vi er alle ett og at ord ikke betyr noe. Men ved å sette ord på denne enheten bekrefter man selv at ord faktisk betyr mye og at vi ikke er ett siden det er mange som er uenige i dette perspektivet. Så hvis man tar dette perspektivet på alvor bør man holde kjeft, tie stille og ikke blande det ordløse med det ordfulle. Disse to nivåene bør holdes fra hverandre, ellers ender man raskt i irrasjonell mystisime og tåkeprat. Unntaket er når man bruker ord rent pedagogisk, slik som man i zen sier at ord er som en finger som peker på månen, dvs. opplysning. Fingeren er ikke månen på samme måte som ord aldri kan uttrykke opplysning.

We seem to have similar interpretations of this concept called Oneness.

It does not realy exist a Oneness in an rational mind.

  Kosemose is an ancient and veeeery old norse pronounce for a very much debated subject called kos.
Its handed down through many generations of bold northern farmers living in desert surroundings and cold climate,simply aching for someone to tuch them,and to be gentle and nice and not swing the axe.
Kos can be an island in Greece with a lot of funny foamparties going on,or socalled cuddling between lovers or people who simply like to cuddle.
But sometimes its even used about sex,but that is another story, and is not suitable to blend into this dicussion about if we manage to see the divine in others ego or not.
Oneness is neither this nor that,but a feeling of pure comittment

Thanks FT for explaining the emotional kos reationship with Oneness.

I choose by my free will who I want to give a kos to and it will not be in a oneness forum.

Each individual soul on planet earth ARE  interconnected,
but it should be enough for us to feel oneness in our own uniqeness,& blissfully
knowing that this uniqeness makes us all familiar to one another.
This feeling of being uniqe is a common shared and uniting feeling.
You can witness this phenomena by being a passanger on a crowded bus or train in norway,
where many uniqe and original individuals gather to   B e c o m e  O  n  e     for a monk-eye moment,
unconsciously that is,for we are often led by strange and unseen hands through a scenery wholly designed to capture our moment in time
and make us dream the big dream,the dream of life,that once awoken,joy will take all forms of delightful shapes in wich to indulge oneself.
Unconsciously we merge with other beings,sometimes wholly designed to exist in paralell universes,still the merging persists,it takes no note of illusive boundaries or imagined borders of armored men.                                                                                                                    Merging  creates  oneness with spirit,because it knows only love and the love thereof.
Love is oneness with life,the empathic impulses that liberates us from fear & makes us see the world as it truly is,in the magical sense of the word.

Our uniqeness may also  distance us from others
so that it grows hideous on us
we may imagine in our litte house of horror
that we are so very uniqe that  nobody can ever understand the level of importance we feel.
We may feel more important than others,and kill them with our uniqe automobile
on our way to a very important meeting with other rare and uniqe individuals.
Very easily our world can become uniqely horrible,if we,in our sense of worth,imagine that oneness is created by
the sacrificing of others.
One horrifying example is the murderer who achieves a nasty oneness with the spirit of his victim
and have nightmares within nightmares,fears within fears.
Scary stuff,really,and i think a cold blooded murderer,is never conscious of the MERGING tendencies of the spirit.
A coldblooded murderer probably have to experience this to become conscious of his acts of uglyness.
God works in mysterious ways it has been said.


One mans bread
is  another mans head

one should eat once bread
knowingly

and each bite
a rememberance of the divine

each bite a conscious part !
a nourishing  with that
wich nourisheth !

a feeding
upon the lives
of the many
and
a thankful heart
should be pounding.

Imagine a black hole

it craves for oneness
by usurping the all
or at least attempting to
by its "wholesome"
presence.


This craving for oneness
is in nature everywhere present
even in little dark smoking clubs for men and their beer habits
where they hang around eachother for support in this horrible life.
Beer creates a feeling of oneness,a numbed feeling of being one with the entire system of beer consumers.
Like coffee,also drunk to achieve this black and bitter  oneness with everything.

Again,there be many substitutes for the brandy oneness,we speak of in spiritual communities,
simple agents to push us toward the percieving of the greater picture,but wich one easily becomes addicted to.
In the addiction field of conceptions,oneness is imagined to be of pure stimulus,and if no stimulation occurs
the experience of oneness is lost and other vile emotional disturbances may corrupt all further wishes or yearnings  to feel oneness again.
This i think evokes  a feeling of chaos within,a feeling like a turbulant wind,captured within,not allowed to escape
by our closing of the doors of life through fear of being disappointed or hurt again.
In this way we may attempt to protect us against oneness again.
One becomes one with the fear of oneness again
and fear as we know of by experience,is not wholesome,it does not make us well to be afraid
fear is actually the opposite of spiritual oneness,it is the black hole i was mentioning above.
It may appear as one awesome  sucking power,but it does not feed life,it craves for it
and is never satisfied,though the impulse is  very much there.

You write like you believe what you write.

To me this Oneness you are writing of sounds like a mass psychosis of believing we are all the same. I agree with you that the world would be a better place if this Oneness you have in your mind existed, but sorry I have seen and experienced to much to see any Oneness in sight.

I agree with Black Elk who states that we are oneness with the great spirit and the universe.

I have experienced oneness in divine states of mind
i know it exist, and in trance i reattune myself to oneness
for  power healing intentions.
In that oneness energies run freely and heal me
and those spirits i have attracted to my orb.

I can walk on water,but it happens in another state of mind
where ordinary dailyness does not interfere with its questioning behaviour
and one is free to perform shamanic journeying.

Mass psychosis,hmmm...interesting. did you know that shamans have an reputation for being psychotic
by people who are afraid of their spirit powers?
And the reason for their fear is that they imagine the shaman have all these magical powers he can work with.
If they imagined themselves,having these powers,they would not be afraid of the shaman,there would be peace and love and understanding .

I have also experienced Oneness with the spirits, God and the universe.

It is to bad so few people believe in the Oneness I have experienced.

Its quite funny to find myself fighting for the rights of a word I have never really been aware of here,earlier.
But the word oneness could also be translated to weave,or pattern,as I see it.
Perhaps a hidden pattern.
And its not a mass-psychosis,but usually something that strikes you quite hard,often in plain and simple loneliness or on the way to somewhere else...
And it is not necessary a feeling of euphoric,pure joy and love,but more a feeling of commitment.
Its a understanding of being connected to everything,to understand that nothing is really totally divided from ME.
That is the great masspsychosis of our time(IMO),to believe we are so f...... genuine,that noone feel like us,think like us,dies like us...
Is this a treath to our ego, personality,charme,expression and rights to be who we eventually will become?
No,I don`t think so.
Maybe i do not like you and what you stand for here and now,but goddammit,in the Universe we are more alike than not.

(On the other hand,if Great Mother wanted us to feel so much of the oneness that you probably fear a bit,why didn`t she create us all looking,thinking,feeling and behaving like fresh,newscrubbed champignons in a supermarket?

Well,is the horrible oneness a constant feeling now,like a dark cloud around your illuminated tophat?
I feel quite strong that you want to project certain qualities on me that i do feel familiar with from my travel.

Is it a projection of yours,or do you really see evil spirits around or inside them?
If thit is the case,it can be healed?
