Azrael

There are a lot of claims and stories around this person/angel/archangel. Villbjørn doesn't know what is kosher or not. Here is some of it. The name comes from the middle east. It refers to the Angel of Death. It appears in both Islamic, Rabbinic and Christian lore. Azrael has several written forms including Ezra'il and Izrael. He was first a man named Azra (Esdras), a scribe, who was promoted? by a god (don't know which form - El, Elohim, El Shaddai, Adonai, Abba, Jehovah +++, the list goes on) to Angel of Death. There is a book in the bible "Ezra" (Greek version) named after him. He is considered by the Jews to be the father of Judaism. Search the Internet you'll find much on the subject.
