Rig Veda

Hei alle sammen. Jeg har en stund spekulert i hva Soma, som det tales mye om i Rig Veda, kan være for noe..
Det kunne være spennende å høre andres meninger og forslag!

Mine forslag til hva Soma kan ha vært: Peganum Harmala( frøene fra denne planten, Harmal, Esfand)
Amanita Muscaria( jada, det er rød fluesopp)
Cannabis..

Det er mange grunner til at det kan ha vært en av disse, og det kan jeg utdybe nærmere skulle det vise seg at det er interesse for å debattere dette tema..

Hmmm .... nå står jeg vel i fare for å begå "off topic", men skitt la gå:

"Brave New World" av Aldous Huxley (1932) er en framtidsfiksjon sidestilt med "1984" av George Orwell)

Fant ikke boka igjen i hylla, men så vidt jeg husker er soma og somaferie i denne romanen et viktig begrep, noe man tar for å ikke riktig føle, ikke riktig se, ikke riktig tenke, ikke riktig elske, ikke riktig leve, ikke riktig dø ...
For dere som ikke har lest "Vidunderlige nye verden" på norsk,- den anbefales ...
Fordi den gjør det så lett å si nei takk til de verdiene "Brave New World" representerer ...

Og så finnes det da altså en annen type soma ...

Vedaene ja, høres mer ut som en dårlig Vålerenga-sang spørru meg, hvis du oversetter til norsk da...; vi har drekki soma, yes
vi taper aldrig, nope..
vi er de beste, yes

osv.......

Noen ting forandrer seg ikke og fotballsanger er bare fotballsanger selv om de er aldrig så gamle og på sanskrit..!
